New Publication: Rethinking Caribbean Archaeology
In this article members of the Coalition for Caribbean Archaeological Heritage (www.cocah.net), including IN THE SAME SEA Postdoctoral Fellow Felicia Fricke, put forward practical recommendations for helping to solve the main ethical issues facing Caribbean archaeological practice today.
Based on the results of a workshop that took place in the Netherlands in 2023 amongst the authors of an edited volume, the article divides the disciplines ethical challenges into two groups: those that can be addressed structurally, and those that can be addressed individually. Furthermore, the article is published in the Peer Community Journal, which is run by volunteers, and which makes the article’s drafts, reviews, and responses to reviews openly accessible alongside the finished article.
