New Website for Network Supporting Caribbean and Early Career Scholars
Following the success of the workshop The Future of Ethics in Caribbean Archaeology, which took place at the University of Copenhagen in March 2024, a team of archaeologists (including ITSS Postdoc Felicia Fricke) has been working together with a web designer to produce an online home for a new network of archaeologists and other heritage professionals in the region. It is available in English, French, and Spanish, and aims to provide:
- A supportive space for Caribbean and early career researchers to work together towards a more ethical Caribbean archaeology
- A platform for resource provision, including grey literature reports and best practices for working in the Caribbean region
- Contact points for the public and for archaeologists and other heritage professionals
CoCAH is working on several initiatives to help develop Caribbean archaeology in a more ethical way and is keen to partner with researchers and institutions in the Caribbean and beyond. If you are interested, you can get in touch with CoCAH using the contact form.
